About Me

I am a wife, mom to three children and a passionate educator that has been blessed to serve hundreds of school children from the start of my education career in August 2001.

I love to empower children and see them shine. There is nothing like the smile of a child when they accomplish a task that seemed too hard or even unattainable. It is a glow that lights up the room (and my heart).

In my learning space, my mission is to always highlight strengths alongside of identifying areas of growth. Interventions are carefully designed according to each child's present level of performance and desired goal. While working on academic goals, I also guide students in confidence and mindset building strategies, strategies to move beyond limiting beliefs and positive self- talk to reach success.

My motto is to always be the educator that I would expect to work with my own kids.

-Dyslexia Interventionist Certification from International Dyslexia Association (IDA) and the Center for Effective Reading Instruction (CERI).

- Level 1 Wilson Certified & Certified Wilson Dyslexia Practitioner (W.D.P)

-Certified Children's Yoga Teacher from KAY Yoga

-Former Special Educator holding roles since 2001 in an intensive setting, collaborative co-teaching setting and as an interventionist teacher, consultant and coach.

- Honored at "Teacher of the Year" in 2020
